Access REDS in Snowflake

With The Trade Desk as a data partner at the Snowflake Data Exchange, you can use Snowflake to access your REDS data.

To set up access to your REDS logs in Snowflake, complete the following steps:

  1. Create a Snowflake account and select the appropriate cloud provider and supported region.
  2. For each feed that you'd like to enable, provide your Technical Account Manager with the required account and feed configuration information.

Alternatively, you can sign up for a free trial or contact your Technical Account Manager to be connected with an account team member at Snowflake.

After you set up your access, your Technical Account Manager will provide you with Snowflake share information that will allow you to access your REDS logs. For details on modifying your feed configuration, see Feed updates and versions.

Cloud Platform Snowflake Region Snowflake Region ID
AWS US West (Oregon) aws_us_west_2
AWS US East (North Virginia) aws_us_east_1
AWS EU (Ireland) aws_eu_west_1
AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) aws_ap_southeast_2

IMPORTANT: If your account is in an unsupported region or uses a cloud platform not listed in the table, contact your Technical Account Manager.

Feed updates and versions

If you request a configuration change to your feed, such as including or excluding columns or updating privacy preferences, the updated feed is assigned a new feed version. When The Trade Desk team sends you a new Snowflake share with the requested changes, the new feed definition includes all your historical data.

NOTE: Unlike Amazon S3, using Snowflake requires no waiting time to complete configuring a new integration.
