If you are a brand lift study provider interested in integrating with The Trade Desk platform, contact your Technical Account Manager and provide the following information.
| Information | Description |
|---|---|
| Account Information | To create an account you need to provide your name, email address, phone number, company name and address, and other information to your Technical Account Manager. If you don't have one assigned, contact us and fill out the form. |
| Display name | A readable display name for your company to appear in the platform UI. |
| Description | A short description about your company to appear in the platform UI. |
| Company Logo | An SVG image of your application or organization's logo. Here are some guidelines:
|
| Industries | The list of industries that you support for conducting brand lift surveys. |
| Countries and Languages | A list of supported countries with a list of languages that you support for each country. You can submit a list of up to 12 countries that you support. To add more countries after your initial integration, contact your Technical Account Manager. |
| Mid-flight update rules | Decide which statuses of the study will allow advertisers to make changes before the study's end date:
|
| Targeting Fields | Provide a list of fields and corresponding values that advertisers can use to select the audience or location in which they are targeting. This helps you identify the appropriate audience and location for conducting the study. For example, you can provide a region or city field to know where you should conduct the study.NOTE: You can include multiple audience and geo location targeting fields. |
| Pixel tracking information | Work with your Technical Account Manager to provide a pixel URL template that can implement The Trade Desk macros. These pixel URLs attach to creatives in the advertiser's campaign to generate the exposed group. |
| Question template | Work with your Technical Account Manager to create question templates that will appear in the platform UI. |
| Report slices and buckets | A list of report slices and the buckets for each slice that you want to include when you provide reports of your studies. |
| Custom Fields | Work with your Technical Account Manager to provide any custom fields and corresponding values that The Trade Desk can use to benefit your integration or troubleshoot errors. For example, a field that identifies the study in your system. NOTE: These custom fields do not appear in The Trade Desk platform UI. |
| Custom Requests | For any custom requests, contact your Technical Account Manager. |
Pixel tracking information
To generate the exposed group of the study, The Trade Desk platform uses pixel tagging information you provide to create a pixel that will be attached to the advertiser's campaign creatives.
What you need to provide
Work with your Technical Account Manager and provide a pixel URL template that supports the following parameters.
| Item | Required? | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Segment ID parameter | Required | A parameter that identifies the study during bidding. For example, you can have a parameter for all ad type IDs such as in-app ID, desktop ID, and so on. |
| The Trade Desk Macros | Optional | The Trade Desk macros for campaign ID, ad group ID, and creative ID. |
What you need to know
The following is an example of a pixel URL template with a placeholder for your parameter in ALL CAPS between curly braces ({}) and The Trade Desk macros shown between double percent signs (%%).
https://www.company.com/path?campaign=%%TTD_CAMPAIGNID%%&l={SEGMENT_ID_PLACEHOLDER}&m=adgroup=%%TTD_ADGROUPID%%
Here's what you need to know about pixel URLs:
- You can have more than one pixel URL. For example, you can have different pixel URLs and parameters for different ad types.
- The Trade Desk macros and the parameters you provide will automatically be substituted during bidding.
- The strings that you use for the parameter placeholder values will become field names in the Study object of the Brand Lift Study API.
Question templates
Work with your Technical Account Manager to create question templates and add them to The Trade Desk platform for advertisers to use. Each question has a list of answers that your respondents can choose. Here's what you need to know about creating question templates:
- You can have up to 5 question templates.
- Do not create questions that are industry or advertiser specific.
- You can include a maximum of 10 questions in a template.
- Each question template must have a template key that indicates the primary KPI of the questions in the template.
- In each question template, you must specify the minimum and maximum number of questions that an advertiser can select.
- If needed, you can require an advertiser to upload an attachment to a question. For example, if you want an advertiser to provide a media attachment for an ad recall question.
NOTE: If you have different or unique requirements that you want to implement, work with your Technical Account Manager.
The following table lists the required items that you must include in a question template.
