  • More flexibility: Request only the data you need, reducing payload sizes and boosting performance.
  • Simplified queries: Retrieve data from multiple sources in a single API call, cutting complexity and saving time.
  • Accelerated feature availability: With GraphQL, we can release new features faster, giving you earlier access for discovery and immediate experimentation.

Geofence targeting update

What you need to know and do
Change summary

Starting December 1, 2024, Nevada will join Connecticut, Washington, and New York, as the list of US states that require a minimum radius of 3,000 feet (914 meters) per point in a geofence segment. To comply with local laws, existing geofence segments that contain points in Nevada with a radius of less than 914 meters will have their points be deleted.

Action required

If you have any geofence targeting points in Nevada with a radius of less than 914 meters, you must create a new geofence segment with your previous points that complies with this change by December 1, 2024. Third-party geofence data providers are advised to update their points to comply with the policy changes.

Third-party data deletion and opt-out by brand ID

The POST /data/deletion-optout/thirdparty endpoint now supports the option of deleting third-party data from segments by brand ID in addition to the data provider ID.

Third-Party Segments Dashboard enhancements

To save you time, we've enhanced the Segments Dashboard by enabling you to input up to 100 partner or advertiser IDs for each rate change request submission. The Rate Change Request page now conveniently displays their batch ID in a new table column.

For details, see Third-Party Segments Dashboard (beta). If you can't access the page, contact your Technical Account Manager for the appropriate permissions.

UID support for universal pixels

To prepare for a cookieless future, we're implementing UID2 support for our universal pixels. With UID2, these pixels can do the following tasks:

  1. Detect the email address obtained from an advertiser's website.
  2. Send the email address in a client-side request to the UID2 service back end, which then generates and returns a UID2 token.
  3. Pass the UID2 token to The Trade Desk platform for audience targeting, seeds, and measurement.

NOTE: UID2 support is currently a closed beta. To get access, contact your Technical Account Manager. EUID support is coming soon.

Offline conversion payload updates

If you provide an ImpressionId value in the Items array in your request, no other ID (TDID, DAID, RampID, UID2, EUID, UID2Token, or EUIDToken) is required for the event. If no user ID is provided, we'll use an all-zero GUID as the user ID for the event.

IMPORTANT: If you don't include an impression ID in your request, at least one user ID is required.

For details, see POST /providerapi/offlineconversion.
