Pause and resume endeavors

After the buying party accepts your deal terms, the deal goes live on the specified flight start date. During this phase, The Trade Desk tracks performance and provides both you and the buying party with options to manage it. For example, depending on the deal type and your business needs, you might choose to pause or resume the deal. See also Deal phases and statuses.

NOTE: You can pause and resume only endeavor deals. For actions related to live commitment deals, see Manage commitment deal performance.

Pause live deals

Pausing a deal freezes all flights in the endeavor deal.

To pause one or more live deals, use the dealPause mutation. This sets their deal status to PAUSED. The following example dealPause mutation shows how to pause multiple deals by specifying their IDs in the id array.

Resume paused deals

To resume one or more paused endeavor deals and restore their deal status at the time of pausing, use the dealResume mutation. The following example dealResume mutation shows how to resume multiple paused deals by specifying their IDs in the id array.

After I pause or resume a deal, how long does it take for the status to update?

The system can take over a minute to calculate and process changes before updating the dealStatus field. To retrieve immediate updates on paused deals, use the deals query and include the isPausedBySellingParty field.
