Price Discovery and Provisioning
We're excited to introduce Price Discovery and Provisioning (PDP), a new API protocol that powers Deal Desk and helps form a key pillar of The Trade Desk’s Kokai platform.
This new solution increases deal efficiency and helps drive improved performance, quality, and pacing across all deals, including the most strategic upfront commitments. With the PDP API and Deal Desk, sellers can accurately describe their inventory and propose more valuable deals to their advertising partners. On the buy side, advertisers can use rich metadata to identify and prioritize the deals that contribute the most value to their campaigns.
Together, Deal Desk and the PDP API will help create a more efficient marketplace that supports sustainable business growth for advertisers, publishers, and intermediaries.
Sell side
The PDP API provides selling parties with endpoints to create, propose, and manage deals. This includes advanced seller capabilities such as access to advertiser do-not-air lists, improved demand, competitive separation, and reduced creative asset errors. The experience is powered by known agent identifiers that clearly represent each participant in the marketplace and the buying and selling counterparties in a specific deal.
Deals

Selling parties can propose deals as one of two distinct deal types, commitments and endeavors.
Commitments are most highly valued by advertisers and therefore prioritized for full delivery, while endeavors offer advertisers streamlined access to specific inventory at an agreed price.
Provisioning
/pdpapi/doc/PdpApiProvisioning
Selling parties can use provisioning endpoints to gather advertiser-specific information and requirements, including specific content they prefer not to place ads against.
The seller can also describe their own requirements, including competitive separation preferences and creative quality standards.
